F.A.P.E. Pistol Competitions

Our pistol competitions are shot 4 times a year. The competitions are typically held in January, April, June at our State Competition and in September. The competitions consist of individual as well as team matches. The competitions are a 30-round course. Each competition is over seen by certified State of Florida CJSTC Firearms Instructors to ensure a safe environment. The current F.A.P.E. Rangemaster is Sgt. Adam Brewster of the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office.

Course of Fire

Slow Fire: 10 rounds in 5 minutes
Timed Fire: 5 rounds in 20 seconds (shot twice)
Rapid Fire: 5 rounds in 10 seconds (shot twice)
The entire course of fire is shot from 25-yards away.

Individual Shooting Classifications

The following are the shooting classifications and the scores necessary to be placed in each classification. Once a shooter reaches a classification, they remain in that classification until shooting a score high enough to reach the next classification. An individual shooter will only compete against other shooters in their same classification.

Tyro: A shooters first competition. You will shoot in Tyro only 1 time.
Marksman: 200 or below
Sharpshooter: 201 - 230
Expert: 231+

Team Match

The team match consists of a 4-person team. The scores of all four shooters will be combined to make up the 4-person team score. Any shooter can be a part of the 4-person team despite of their individual shooter classification.
